Ladies and Gentlemen,
I’d like to welcome you to Obolensky’s London on behalf of His Excellency, the Archduke Maximilian.
A great-nephew to His Highness, Prince Michael Dmitri Alexandrovich Obolensky-Romanoff (known in some quarters as Mike Romanoff), he is a direct descendant of His Imperial Majesty, Tsar Nicholas the Second.
During the long years of exile, two aims have been foremost in His Excellency’s mind:
– the immediate re-instatement of the Tsar, and
– finding solace in London’s excellent taverns
Unfortunately, even the most hopeful challenger to the Imperial throne has to make concessions to the political climate in Russia. It is therefore only natural that His Excellency has focussed on his second, equally noble cause. The result is Obolensky’s Indispensable Guide to Life in London.
Members of the press like to point out that their own research is done anonymously and that ‘all meals are paid for’. Let me assure you that His Excellency suffers from no such qualms. Landlords, take note – whether your generosity is reflected in the subsequent review is left to your imagination alone.

The capital is a treasure trove for both the novice and experienced hedonist alike. I hope that Obolensky’s London can help navigate this unique moral quagmire and wish you Godspeed!
